An original production cel and background from the Jay Ward Studios animated series "Fractured Fairy Tales" (1959-1961). Featuring two Chinese characters, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the episode titled, "The Magic Lychee Nuts" which aired as a segment on the "Rocky and Bullwinkle Show" in 1962. Measuring 9.5"x13" overall, with the character image measuring 8"x6", the cel and background are in good condition with significant rippling, cel discoloration due to age and storage, and pinholes in the top corners.
